Constantly defying convention, the Phutureprimitive sound is not solidly rooted in any single genre nor easily defined, but draws influences from many sub-genres including Bass Music, Downtempo ,Glitch Hop, Dubstep, Breaks, Trip Hop, and more. Phutureprimitive has become a musical force to be reckoned with, performing in cities and countries throughout the United States, and Europe including New York, Nashville, San Francisco, Los Angeles, England, Scotland, Portugal, Holland, Italy, Croatia and Ukraine, and recently finishined up a North American tour opening for Shpongle.

Okulus Anomali is an Artist (Composer, Producer, DJ, Multi-Instrumentalist Musician, Poet-Philosopher/Writer, Graphic Designer, Chef, Opener of Minds…) Born in Budapest, raised in South Florida, his sound explores the full range of human emotion…for all emotion is an inspiration and has it’s time and place for reflection. Okulus Anomali infuses his own live instrumentation and DIY production techniques into his tracks along with working with some excellent musicians such as Iraklis Kalamenios (Greek flautist/Musician/Promoter) as well as various vocalists & percussionists. Okulus Anomali has performed DJ and Live sets for way over a decade in regions including Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Spain, Hungary, Nevada and more. He continues to play at clubs, his residencies in Miami & such esteemed events & festivals including Ultra Music Festival, WMC, Earthdance, Burning Man.

At a time when it seems like many producers and DJs are leaning more and more towards aggressive music such as brostep, Afro Monk is doing just the opposite and bringing the romance back to the dance floor with downtempo sounds and chilled-out future beats. Combining fluid melodies, sultry rhythms and hypnotic bass, Afro Monk uses lush yet cutting-edge electronic beats to create a smooth and sensual vibe.
As a beat producer, DJ, music journalist and events promoter, Afro Monk is a cornerstone of the growing electronic arts community. His wildly popular bass music blog AfroMonk.com is the source where many fans look for new sounds and insightful commentary, which can also be found in his writings for The Untz and Big Up Magazine.
